Sporveien Trikken AS has ordered 87 units of SL18 (URBOS 100).

This is an exciting upgrade to the tram fleet, which will give the streets of Oslo a significant boost.

The new, state-of-the-art trams will be delivered between 2021 and 2025, directly from Spain. The SL18 will replace both SL79 and SL95 (SL = Sporvogn ledd, with the number indicating the year they were ordered). The very first tram was proudly unveiled at Grefsen in Oslo on October 12, 2020.

The reception of the trams in Oslo and the follow-up after their arrival are critical phases, during which each tram set is thoroughly inspected to ensure that any faults or deficiencies are identified early.

Rytec has played a key role in this project by:
• Leading the technical working groups
• Acting as PTO (Preliminary Take-Over) team leader

On behalf of Sporveien AS, Rytec has been responsible for coordinating and managing Sporveien’s PTO program, conducting and documenting quality inspections, functional tests, and trial runs on open tracks, as well as actively participating in the deliveries themselves. This project is a fantastic example of how the future is rolling into Oslo on rails!
