Testing of Traxx AC3 in Norway

Railpool wanted assistance to test Bombardier Traxx BR 187 F160 AC3 in Norway. The tests were performed to test the locomotive functionality during Norwegian winter conditions and during shunting using "Last mile functionality" (LMD + LMB).

The test in Norway has been a combination of line and shunting duty for BR 187. The goal was to uncover the shunting capacity in “Last mile” mode.

Rytec has prepared the application for permission to do a test and trial run, verified test and trial runs and developed reports from the test and trial runs. Rytec has follow-up and done measurements of the locomotive in operation and during maintenance.
